On uploading and activating the theme, you will see a setup wizard automatically taking control of the things. This is expected and recommended method of installing the theme.
The Purpose of the setup wizard is to configure a lot of settings automatically and avoid the hassle of manually configuring the theme.
While Elementor theme mode will show the standard WP theme module. The Gutenberg theme mode is specifically designed for FSE [ Full Site Editing ] features where Elementor is not required at all.
The theme build is very different for Elementor vs Gutenberg. The templates and design limitations apply. Which is why we have different theme styles for Elementor and Gutenberg.
The configuration check is a set of "recommended" values which are recommended ( not required ) for the theme to work smoothly. Although the theme can work in minimum WP requirements as well these are the recommended values.
FAILED Message is also displayed when the theme is unable to detect global parameters which can happen in more secure hosts. If you have confirmed that all settings are correct yet the configuration check shows as failed then you can ignore the "Failed" message and move forward with the setup wizard.
This section sections for file and folder permissions in your WordPress site. These checks are requirements to WordPress not specific to the theme.
Folder permission levels should be 755
All file permission levels should be 644
Based on the Theme type selection several Demo design would appear. You can go ahead with a particular design selection by clicking on the image and a tick icon appears over the image. By default the Elementor demo is the default demo which gets installed in the site.
You will see option to import custom design which is covered in detail in the export wizard.
Select features you need for your site. By default the Vibe App and the Appointments are recommended along with eCommerce.
As you select features here, you are essentially picking which addons (plugins) you will need for your site. The plugin installation appears based on the feature selection in the next step.
The features are not connected to any demos or design elements which will be installed in your site. All these addons can be installed later on via Plugins - Add new route.
The plugins can also be directly downloaded using your item purchase code which is covered in the next step.
Enter your themeforest item purchase code. To capture the purchase code, refer the doc :
the purchase code needs is registered and recorded in our site against the domains. Note 1 regular license is required for 1 site setup.
Upon entering purchase code and continue you will get the option to move to the next step.
Based on the features selected, the plugin list will show up for installation
Note that in this step plugins are downloaded and installed in your site. While some plugins like Elementor , BuddyPress, WooCommerce are hosted on WordPress.org, some plugins are hosted on our Amazon servers and validated by the purchase code you entered in the previous step.
While you should get a success status for all plugins, if any plugin fails to install in this section, you can go back to the previous step using the link on the page and then try to install the plugin again.
Failed plugin installations can be re-attempted by going to previous step and coming back to the plugin installation step.
In case the plugins constantly get a failed status, a message to us would be helpful. Optionally check the Manual install section on how to install the plugins manually.
This step configures necessary conditions for demo import. It installs profile layouts, cards and other important configurations like installing of Appointment tables etc.
Some configurations are loaded even if they are not in use, this is to ease out any possible conflict in future.
This is the most important step to import demo data in your site. In this step you select which parts of the demo you want to install in your site. For a complete demo import, just check all the points and click import.
If you face issues while loading of data, you can either reload your current page or simply click the link to load data from another server which usually works.
You can now setup the primary color and the logo of the site.
