# Member Types

Different from WordPress User roles, Member types is a categorisation of members only on the front end.

We recommend creating different member types for your site for easy categorisation and selection of which users can create and offer their booking services.

### Creation

Member type creation is easy and provided by BuddyPress under the WP admin - Users - member types.

Member types can also be activated at the time of registration.

You get an option to set a Default member type in WP admin - Vibebp - Setting
